I’m sorry for using the L word,
And not saying it to you.
I’ve said it twice of late you see,
And both times far too soon.
The truth is I have wanted to,
And many times I’ve tried.
But I’d hate to face rejection,
A ‘no’ etched in your eyes.
But still, I plan to tell you straight,
And tear the veil away.
A word that has hidden far too long,
