Love Poem: Mother

Mother

as a child I don't remeber you much
you were never there for me
for many days you were locked away
and on the others chasing your next high
seeing you meant the world to me
but it did not matter to you
the days you tried were to few
I needed a mother I needed you
all the happiness we could have shared
all the pain and misery I could have been spared
all I can remember is a life of regret
and resentment of the fact my birthday you forget
did I ever mean anything to you
i was your first born baby boy
and you threw me in the corner like a toy
you never called me once to say hi
no movies or cardboard games
not even a single christmas gift
but after thirty four years you haven't changed
but I still love you anyway
even if you don't love me
