Love Poem: Moonlight Dance

Moonlight Dance

Silence fills the room,
My ears roar like the sea.
I turn to face the moon,
A shadow washes over me.
I close my eyes and listen,
A heart is beating on my left.
I lean a little closer,
I feel breath upon my neck.
I reach a hand up to the ceiling,
And feel the webs with my fingers.
I take a step forward on the dusty floor,
And hear the moan of an empty house.
I feel a hand upon my back,
I turn and see no one.
I retreat to a dark corner,
And watch, and hope I find.
Are you hiding in the shadows,
Will you show me your face.
Is that your breath,
Is that your heartbeat.
There's a chill,
Yet A warmth is coming over me.
I close my eyes once more,
I feel a heart connecting with mine.
I hold my hand out,
I touch warmth.
I open my eyes slowly,
And find a shadow.
I take a step forward,
It takes a step back.
I move a little quicker,
It glides into the moonlight.
What a beautiful sight,
I found you.
