Love Poem: Moon Dog

Moon Dog

Many moons ago there was a fellow
so handsome that he made the ladies swoon.
No woman ever challenged him because
they all believed that fellow hung the moon.

Once in a blue moon he met a woman
who would not give that guy the time of day.
He wanted her and promised her the moon.
She turned her back; she was a moon away!

“You’re reaching for the moon,” the woman said,
“by going after me. You’d have to be
a five-foot-two with luscious eyes of blue!
Cry for the moon. Men don’t interest me!”
