Love Poem: Moon

Moon

I'm thinking of you, even when you're out there with him.
Wanting you with me, the chances of that seem real slim.
Can't help but to be envious, cause I know the person you are.
Except the girl I knew before didn't play guitar. ..(so hot)
And everytime you see the moon you think of me.
And everytime I see the moon I know to you I'm just a memory.
These memories of times we've had, making me sad.
But they've happened with you and for that I'm glad.
Not ready to believe the last one is watching you leave.
And when you came back I wasn't there for you, so now I grieve.
Wish it went differently, I so wanted you to stay.
But you wanted to go see your kids, and I wouldn't stand in your way.
Now I sit, in regret, all upset, with all these memories I can't forget.
With this mind that's focused on you like it's stuck in cement.
And this voice in my head telling me, maybe it just wasn't meant.
But I've never been the person who can admit defeat.
So I sit and wait, always late, never willing to retreat.
So when your out in the park after dark looking at the moon.
Know I'm looking at it too, hoping to see you soon.
