Love Poem: Moms Are Made of Steel

Moms Are Made of Steel

Sometimes I think moms are made of steel
Touch as nails with looks that could kill
Like super heroes they never need sleep
And somehow all their promises they keep

With the daily sun, they rise before the crew
Making breakfast, chores, the never ending to do
Then with the final load done, they are the last in bed
Your jeans are clean for tomorrow, just like she said

From the terrible twos to nonstop teenage drama
They keep things straight by playing super mama
But they don’t need a disguise, an alias, or a cape
Just an apron and the eyebrow to put you in your place

They mold you from day one with attention to detail
With constant praise and patience without fail
Whenever you need them, they are always there
To pick you back up or to just show you they care

Every meal is cooked with love and served with a smile
Moms travel with you through life, each and every mile
Every game, competition, and emergency room visit
They bandage cuts and cure crises with everlasting wit

My mother will always be my picture of perfection
With unlimited advice and timeless affection
She takes joy in each moment just watching us grow
I couldn’t live without her; she’ll always be my super hero
