Love Poem: Missing the Melody

Missing the Melody

The thoughts of her deceitful schemes
and yet I see her in my dreams
I see a face time can’t replace
and memories of ebon lace.

She stole the music from my heart
and tore our very lives apart.

Our love was like a fairy tale
I thought forever would prevail
but with no warning one cold day
she sadly up and walked away.

She stole the music from my heart
and tore our very lives apart.

The heart I gave her now is found
in pieces torn upon the ground
and now I sit here all alone
the sounds of life now monotone.

She stole the music from my heart
and tore our very lives apart.

I gave her love right from the start
     but now sweet melody departs.
