Love Poem: Missing

Missing

I looked for you again today,
I just forgot you'd gone away.
At our restaurant, you weren't there,
just me, the waiter and an empty chair.
I thought I saw you on the heath, with the dog,
but, when I wiped my eyes, all I saw was fog.
I missed you again at the grocery store,
that kind young man smiled, as he held the door.
I'm missing you a lot theses days,
at the cinema, in the park, at all the school plays.
It's a little bit thoughtless, to just leave like that,
leaving me here, all alone in our little flat.
But, I know where to find you, when I feel the need,
under whispering sycamores in the place we agreed.
And there we chat, about inconsequential things,
'til the rooks home to roost and the matins bell rings.
