Love Poem: Mischief

Mischief

If you wanted tears, I would cry a clear azure ocean.
If you wanted a rose, I’d pick a white one with love.
For you have shown me such true genuine devotion,
as I fly high for you like a delicate ivory turtle dove.
You bring me passion only coming from up above,
and fill my heart with metaphors of deep emotion.

I cannot explain how you fill me with such splendor.
A bond so rare beyond compare we always do share.
As you touch my nape gently so gracefully tender
you show your perpetual and eternal adoring care.
Must be the way you run your fingers through my hair,
so to you, my beloved, I utterly and completely surrender.

You bring me such gentle ease and magnificent affection,
for we never have failed in loving one another with hope.
There is no mount too low to damage our connection,
and since I met you I have learned how to suitably cope.
When I am falling down that rugged edge slippery slope,
I see how you openly catch me with veritable perfection.

Oh, sweet man, thank you for our fairytale wedding dance.
May our marriage surface the shore like pebbles on sand.
You tell me you fell in love with me with just one glance,
I tell you it was the first time in the car you took my hand.
No, I don’t think anyone else in the world can understand
our undying faith in each other with authentic romance.
