Messengers of the Holy Bible

I like to posses the faithful heart
of King David, who immensely praised God
and revered all of His laws without a flaw...

From his palace, He rose his voice to the open Heavens,
and wrote thousands of psalms to glorify Him and His purpose;
and when he spoke, nothing displeasing came out of his mouth...

I like to posses the faith and strength of Joshua, who led
the Israelites out of the cursed and idolatrous land of Egypt;
and He indisputably put his faith in Moses to deliver an enslaved people...

From the hottest desert to God's promised land,
it took anger, and harsh punishment for Moses
to accomplish his task when many rebelled against him...

I like to posses the determination and devotion
of Moses, who gave his people the Ten Commandments:
as a guide to a sinless life lived by obedience...

Wailing from the Jordan River, John the Baptist announced
with his deep voice that kingdom spoken by Christ;
through all his life he proclaimed it, until he was decapitated...

I like to posses the courage that he attained from wisdom and truth,
and he continued baptizing them in water as evil eyes watched and plotted;
when he recognized Jesus as his king, a dove appeared above...
