Message In a Bottle
A girl and her boyfriend
walking along the beach
a bottle washes ashore
grazing their feet;
as you and I
slowly walk by
we notice the bottle
and are quite surprised;
years ago,
we let that bottle go
and now in their hands
they hold
your drawing and my poem!
we told them you drew it,
I recited my poem
we truly stunned them
they couldn't believe it!
carefully folding
the poem and art
and adding something,
they drew a heart;
we sealed the bottle
threw it out to sea
yet another moment in history
