Mermaid Upon Rocks

Listening to the grasshoppers beat singing enchants
in the long grass you never heard the ache breaking
playing into a heartfelt song silence holds beauty still

As I watch Lord of the flies hover and dance merrily side to side
crying into a hellish place bewildered playing the fiddle begins lament
Rainbows shines on it's wings golden delicious promise glistens

In your colours bouquet lustre radiant highlights invade space
tortured burns alone in a pale moon face smiling eclipse born tonight
circle halo crowning of the skull golden paradise leaving skeleton behind

Standing I see mother of pearl alluring Queen dressed in white
sweetly painted gracious songs dance to the flute cobra bites
floating in the silver lining colours supreme being held captive

Your footprints of love forever will remain true as tides turn slowly
in an ocean filled space where the seagulls cry touching down gently
warmly a piper fish plays with undercurrents deeply combing grace

Lost in the ocean fish waves turn and whisper delicately
on a tail waves softly in one breeze rustling flip hair back
spirit of thought touching the brow caught in a net seeking joy
