Memory Carousel

Wonder why they call them well drinks, when I ain’t better
And the double shots don’t kill me, they only open up old wounds
I’d like to know that man there in the mirror
Cause if he likes to bet I know, you’ll be coming round soon

I’m stuck here on a memory carousel
A never ending trip aboard this getting nowhere hell
Our ups and downs come round and round, it’s an awful place to dwell
I’m stuck here on a memory carousel

I haven’t seen you around town since you left me
But you’re there like a shadow when, the neon lights come on
Till I can reminisce without the wish, that you’ll be coming home
I have to live, with the fact, that I’m as good as gone

I’m stuck here on a memory carousel
A never ending trip aboard this getting nowhere hell
Our ups and downs come round and round, it’s an awful place to dwell
I’m stuck here on a memory carousel

This ride I’m on’s been anything but easy
I wish by now I would have gotten off
While Mary goes round, painting up the town
I wish my love would fade, if it isn’t gonna stop

I’m stuck here on a memory carousel
A never ending trip aboard this getting nowhere hell
Our ups and downs come round and round, it’s an awful place to dwell
I’m stuck here on a memory carousel

I’m stuck here on a memory carousel
