Memories of Happiness

Like the Turtles, our happiness shared when getting together
bitterness of winter shed, our love radiated hot weather
hand in hand, we thought forever, you made me feel so grand
the smile on your face, the glow of my heart
while it raced, it hurt to be apart
Cupid had got us with a dart!
With a passion burning hotter than molten steel
fell for each other, head over heels
with a momentum quicker than rolling wheels
This, is how love truly madly feels.
In your company, life was a breeze
leaping over mountains with consumate ease
these chains around my heart, you alone held the keys
to bring you joy, I would have done, anything to please.
Our live's moulded around each other
the twisted entaglement of a serious lover
cease the search, don't want another.
Quite often, we had a blast
if only we could have made it last,
we rocked each others lives
and buzzed louder than beehives
the good times we did thrive

The ties that bind and the webs we weave
sadness tore my heart, when I had to leave
for all felt dead and it was time to grieve
lots of tears on my jumper sleeve.
