Memories Held Within -Contest
I close my eyes,
Cant see the life around me
just the memories
held within
Of holding hands
walking through the rain.
The first kiss with raindrops
watering our lips
The smile of bewilderment
when love enters my heart
The frown of doubt
when we say goodnight
Doubt if you'll return
the wonder when you do.
Speaking words of love
through loving lips
The lips that kiss my eyelids,
Waking me gently
to a life of love
hope and happiness
