Love Poem: Melt

Melt

Love melted away from our hands
I sculpted it perfectly before it melted from our hands
Ice sculptures that only we could see
Elegantly standing in Artic Country

Summer brought upon seasons of change.
Summer Sun dissolved Love
Love melted away from our hands.
Love left without warning; and we tried to salvage it
Unprepared, the icier liquid, was already free flowing
Flooding our lives, monumentally knowing

Love melted away from our hands.
I thirst for one last drink, but I am Hesitant
to the poisoning.
Love melted from our hands; and
Icicles we had hidden high in mountain tops,
Just for moments like this, started thawing
Have you ever heard Hatred Thawing?
Love melted from our hands
Leaving traces of my anger and vehement words I have said
I felt love pour over my fingertips
Too fast to save, or even siphon it

Then
Sorrow flooded over my lips of red
From my eyes, tears traveled in currents
Trickling down salty tears from the great ocean.
Inside me. My eyes welling up.washing away all of my anger.
Until I am finally clean off this break up
I can only hope that wishing will bring me better weather.
We watched love melt away from our hands.
