Love Poem: Meet My Wife

Meet My Wife

Between the aisles of my life
Between the hours of my strife
Hangs the portrait of my wife

Her kind words
Sinking deep down like rain drops
Running underground into streamcups

Here and there
My heart wavered
Whenever she was away

It was like I became a dust
Just a molecule that is wandering lost
Find me wherever if you must

She is my little finger
She makes me want to linger
Like a bird or even a wonderful singer

While she's here
I speak while she hears
It's like we're leaving our millionth year

When I wake in the morning
Her snore sounds like a bird humming
Damn! My mouth won't just stop running

Look at her eyes
You'd see that I was actually wise
To see and fall in the arm of my wife

If God were to make a trillion of her
I'd locate her
By her beautiful dark brown eyes

Her companion defines the beauty of life
So that loving her flows thru me with no strife
Believe me, this is my wife

But I've got to stop here
And save my words
'Cos, I am yet to meet my wife...
