Maybe Only a Nephew

Basketball and swimming, building blocks we'd stack
Your mom took you away,
Are you ever coming back?
The time we spent together,
Every second of each day,
Please come back Austin,
I need you right away.

A big part of my life,
Is what you were to me,
Maybe only a nephew,
But like a missing son I need.

The house it seems so empty,
Even with your pictures all around.
I look at them and see you,
But I do not hear the sound.
The sound of you laughing,
Playing and having fun,
Even when it's not with me,
I'll still love you like a son.

So, Austin when you come back,
We'll play basketball, swim, and more.
Your presence will mend my heart,
That your inferior mother tore.
