Markers In Time
A cordial celebration
lauding love's affirmation.
An anniversary smile
summons teardrops that beguile.
Congratulations come due,
for friends celebrate with you.
Saluting your special day
with hardy hip-hip-hurray.
A time for festivities
and adult activities.
Love's toasted with cold champagne,
forged feelings, given free rein.
And at this time, every year,
why we wed grows crystal clear.
And thus, such markers in time
feel fantastic; and sublime.
