Love Poem: Malevolent Games

Malevolent Games

I have no story to share with you
We could have taken this further more
Your malevolent games of existence were nothing new
I was thinking the diamond could swallow up the shore

I was wrong; I wasn’t going to try harder
You and I had something that was candid
We can both agree that this ended up in a disaster
Trust forgotten, hope not wanted, and our love that is left stranded
Yeah, it’s not what we wanted but it’s what we got
If one thing is done then the other is forgotten and left untouched
I’m holding the alterations in deep thought
I’m not attached, you keep me unattached

I was thinking the diamond could swallow up the shore
I was wrong; I wasn’t going to try harder
We both know how this well end up

So let’s just drift away on the waning light that has us directed
This is everything and anything that we will drop
My guilt has brought me to this decision and I‘m not going to be the one indicted
