Love Poem: Making Love

Making Love

When we make love
our souls unite
in your beautiful onyx
eyes eternities love shines
into our world

We give thanks to the Almighty
that we consciously call down
when we conceive, a gift and
act from God

I love you with
all of my being
everything
we are one

We know the purity
of the animal that
mates for life

When we make love
I give you my tongue
and the pleasure it has
for you

Your dark body
reads my lips
drawing my silence
into you

You guide me
artfully through
the landscape we
create in our stillness

We are sculptures
shimmering with love
in a nameless hallowed
place where no words
will do

The place between your
thighs kiss back tender leaves
and moist like matutinal dew
where I return often

Our bodies defy gravity
we go to a place beyond
all the other places
beyond the body itself
when we make love...
