Luster Of Love

Not placed in contest "Musings of love"

In the verdant vale of my heart,
contoured by dormant desire,
I carved a craving channel to reach you.
The cloud of yearning melted
in mesmeric torrent of craving,
made a spellbound stream
gliding past me ebullient,
I swam under the hypnotic sky.
In the current of your charisma,
my senses surged through
the mystique moonshine aura
with the sequined lattice of love.

Spring departed as the season turned,
gave me a gorgeous gift,
a red rose posy of your heart,
resplendent with the patina of love,
in the summer of discontent,
I didn’t let it wither.

In midsummer nebulous night,
under the star-studded sapphire sky,
you were with me lying
on the passion bank of the ravishing river,
soaked the satin stardust of longing,
where in the vivacious vase of my heart
the roses you could see
radiate the fervor of my lustrous love.

The ardent music of fantasy I composed,
tuned to the mesmerizing melody
of the serenading sensuous stream,
weaved with its lyric in your entranced eyes
the tapestry of my dream.

When my golden garden gleamed
with the eventide’s halcyon hues,
you embellished my rose buds of rapture,
that in your enticed eyes I saw unfurl
with the lilting luster of love.
