Love Poem: Love's Pain

Love's Pain

I have a right to my pain
My child has a right to her pain
we both lost a part of our lives
we both lost the man we admire

sweet love your rose of love so sweet
yet the thorns of love can burn so deep
shallow dreams of broken plans
this hollow death of love and scheems

We will heal, we can read
we can learn to live and dream
Daddy love's his little girl
it's not your fault our life will heal

Mummy love's you deep and true
broken hearts will live to heal
we will learn to laugh and play
we will learn to build each day

We can plan to go on trips
we can plan to laugh and skip
we can build a new career
we can find new people dear

We can have a daddy friend
instead of having him at home
you can have your days with him
you can be your daddy's friend

We can learn to stand alone
we can learn to climb and grow
we can read of comedy
read and laugh at jokes we see

we can visit river banks
and take a picnic lunch by chance
we can have our friends around
we can learn to dance around

but most of all my darling
know that you are loved
know that we both love you
need be that's all we know
