LOVE’S MOMENT
trying to think through
my mental calendar,
the mystic moment
i first experienced love
simply cannot become clear
age realizes
that love is a growing process -
those tender or firm
touches points of awareness
happening along the wheel
how impossible
to single out a moment.
age realizes
love is a whole bunch of things
coming slowly together
i’m gone fishing now –
how important is one’s need
to revelation,
yes, the fulfillment of need
along life’s bumpy highway?
my need is fulfilled
the sex companionship
is nicely fulfilled
how warm and satisfying
how wonderful for a while
love? yes, of a kind.
back to the mystic moment
and one’s gratification.
growth does slowly define
the moment – one comes out of self
