Love Poem: Love's Linear Continuums

Love's Linear Continuums

Love’s Linear Continuums
     By Dane Smith-Johnsen

Love is a set of linear continuums.
Joy is at one end; sorrow is at the other.
Shall we decide to strive for endless minimums?
Never! Become enlightened; increase loves’ brothers.

Be concerned for there are many unfortunate.
Do something on their behalf with kindheartedness.
Care for « ignore, where on this line does your heart rate?
Maximize love’s joy; cause uplifting-ness.

Regard those whose opinions are different than yours.
Listen with understanding; share feelings and beam.
Respect « disrespect, where in joy's domain are you?
Value human differences; take notice, esteem.

Praise your friends; encouragements are life's success tools.
Applaud their achievements; minimize their failures.
Commend « condemn, where, with kindness does your joy rule?
Commit! Dependable kindness is a treasure.

Mothers, fathers, and children, love one another.
Teach kinship's bond; reverence family, relatives.
Love « Hate, where, with your family, does your joy live?
Ancestors. Predecessors. The living. Love all.

Be enlightened to heaven's righteousness; revere.
Adore and worship Him, the Father of goodness.
Good « evil, where in eternity is your joy?
Reveal to all and sundry people, zealously.

Evaluate love's linear continuum.
Reach for joy, not sorrow. Shall we strive for good?
Please don't sell out man's future for his minimum.
Let's unite all mankind with one brotherhood. God.
