Love Poem: Love's Light

Love's Light

I hold your light in the palm of my hand
The brightest love in all the land.
If only you were betrothed to me.
Love would live through eternity.

My silken skin would know your flesh.
Each morning joy would begin afresh.
Heavens would sing because of our choice.
Together, my love, we would rejoice.

But, alas, my dear, it cannot be so.
As all in the Land of Fairies know.
Humans and fairies cannot marry.
I must dream and love from afar.

Beyond the clouds of fairytale dreams,
Leprechauns play pranks; fulfill their schemes.
Mermaids use magic to ease their woe.
From the Land of Fairies, I watch below.

Faithfully, I will flutter nearby.
When the sun is bright; you will know.
I will glide on the wings of a butterfly.
Embracing love magic close to me.
