Love Poem: Love's Hatred

Love's Hatred

Was it your hatred that pushed me to run from you
In the very first place?
But then,
If you hated me so much,
Why did you come on Earth too?
If it was with the intention of saving my soul
From the murky swamps of this world,
Then,
Why do you hate me still
And why do you not believe in me?

Pray,
I remain rooted on my own mysticism
A God you are,
Fallen in human forms,
Inhabited by human attributes,
A God,
Whom I seek to see back there
In that world up beyond the stars
A God,
Feared by all the celestial beings,
Yet, revered as their own mighty deity!

Still,
The hatred you harbour for me
Has become the blood running through my veins
It travels all over my body
And pricks the sensitivity of my heart
It invades my soul
And kills the essence of the Goddess that
Thrives in there!

The future of our after life
Is at stake
Acknowledged have we been throughout the ages
As a celebrated divine couple,
An example for the rest of the cosmos
Is it the dark ethos of this modern century
That will kill our bond?
Has your might grown so weak
That even the illusions of the Maya ruling this Earth
Have knocked you out?

Still, love is never forced,
Nor it is played with
Nor is it invoked through magic
Should you hate me
May it be then
That this hatred rips life out of me
May it be
That it destroys my soul
In such a way
That I never ever get a rebirth
May it be
That because of it
I completely cease to exist!
