Love With Out Name

I would touch you,
But you are beyond my reach.
If I knew the words,
I would say them each.
I would wrap my arms around you,
If I thought I could hold you.
I would say I love you,
But haven’t I already told you?
And I don’t know now if
You were ever really mine.
I believe all I ever had was
Pieces of your borrowed time.
And oh how I loved you,
For so very long.
There was times the
feeling was so strong.
But today, you have shown me.
That all this time you
Have barely known me.
It is of all, my greatest fears.
To you I am no more than
What a deaf man hears.
What an utter fool I must be.
To love a man who doesn’t see me.
What a complete shame,
To long for a man who
Doesn’t even call me by name.
