Love To Me

Love to me you are the light that came on
When I realized what was there all along

Love to me you are the reason for my ambition
For my love for you is an unchartered exploration

Love to me you are the warmth of a blanket
In a bed by the fireplace on a cold winter’s night

Love to me you are like a broken timepiece
For time comes to a standstill until your repairs

Love to me you are the edges of the unknown universe
For my mind cannot stretch beyond this paradise

Love to me you are like a jar of peanut butter
I cannot spread you and resist not to nibble a bit

Love to me you are like a fit of laughter
Too sweet to stop, but too sore to keep at it

Love to me people can talk and say whatever
As long as it’s about how wonderful you are

Love to me you are a beautiful songbird
Trapped in the vocalization of my heartbeat

Love to me a hug is a meaningless gesture
If in my arms I am not embracing your posture

Love to me kisses mean nothing
If it’s not with your lips mine are touching

Love to me eternity is but mere seconds
If I cannot spend infinity in your presence

Love to me immortality would be a torment
If I were not to be with you every moment

Love to me a million dollars would mean little
If I could not be your genie in a bottle

Love to me happiness would be emptiness
If my heart was not filled with your lovingness
