Love That Lives Forever
When I met you, I felt the sun shine
Brighter than ever, like the heart of heaven
Pouring out its blessings, like a sign
Signaling my feelings, there would be forever
Silencing all my doubts, reassuring the best
Would open up my hopes, my dreams
Beautiful would come to life as I confessed
The joy and wonder that you inspired within
Where music seemed to still every shadow
Bleeding faith that felt like joy pouring down
Reminding me that, with you, love would grow
And I would always know the fullness of life
Because of you, my best friend – like my right hand
There abides the grace to remember happiness
Comes from the knowing you never make a demand
But always assure me of this love that is my treasure
To me, the one who believes in God’s great plan
When He put us together, forever and ever
To prove that this is true – during our lifespan
We would understand the meaning of real love
Together, we discovered the importance of insight
The laughter that brightens the darkest shadows
You became my miracle, that shining knight
Who would lead me through the fires, the flames
Kissing away the doubts and the pains,
Inspiring me to listen to the depths of my faith,
Healing my worries – quieting the rains,
Freeing me from the cruelty of melancholic dread
With you, I found the reason for my heart’s believing
With you, I learned the meaning of love that shows
Wherever I go, whatever I do – there is you, relieving
Me of the fears, the tears – bringing me gentle feelings
With you, there is the knowing that love holds the cause
Beneath every dream, inside every charm, everywhere
You go, there is tenderness that reminds me to applause
The way you love, so beautifully, with love that brings –
Blessings only our union could have stirred, returns
Beyond every thought, every word – every hope
Because of you, my joyful light, this love earns
A place in history, a place in infinity – forever it is us
Bringing alive the gift of a bond held together
