Love Storms

Mountains crumble under the weight of your absence.
The sands of time stand still throughout your furious calm.
Paranoia divides and devours rational thinking.
This is the calm before the storm.

Thoughts race faster than light through a blackhole
Carrying emotions that ultimately collide with reason
breaking a hard, yet tender heart into a trillion pieces.
Each piece is as hard as it is soft.

Waves of reason and dreadful hope wash over the surface,
drenching the soul within the damaged vessel.
Emotional pain becomes physical turmoil.
The thought of you haunts me every second, of every day.

Then a smile that steals my breath a thousand times over
Sends a me over waterfall made of dreams.
Slowly floating towards the jagged rocks of reality on a cloud of insanity.
My heart still aches, forever more.
