Love Or Lust

If LOVE and LUST were strolling along a lighted street side by side;
If the two of them looked like twins and asked you for a ride;
If you only had room for one, which of the two would you choose?
Would your choice be a wise one, or one certain to make you lose?
When facing LUST, let us be wise, pray, and think twice before we decide.

Unlike LUST, LOVE is open for all to see, never a need to cover up or hide.
LOVE, like a rock, is enduring; LUST is like sand or vapor blown by the wind.
LOVE makes us free and comes with no deceit; LUST often leads us into sin,
to places of pleasure where no one wins.

The one who LOVES has the potential of GIVING his best and his all to the object of his LOVE. The one who LUSTS has the potential of TAKING the best and all from the object of his LUST. An exercise in the heat of LUST may leave burns, injuries, and scars for life. An exercise in LOVE is healing and enduring, rendering us whole for a lifetime. I tell you, LOVE is freeing; embrace it. LUST is binding; run from it.
