Love Only Becomes When Given
Lord, make each of us instruments for your work,
Manifesting your love so that others might see.
Let it not come from duty tempting us to shirk,
But help us love, as you love, unconditionally.
For you continue to love us as no other could,
So too, must we love others, or stand forsaken.
And if we can love out neighbors, as we should,
We're assured, our love for you will not be shaken.
