Love Poem: Love of My Life

Love of My Life

Twenty eight years and still when I wake
It is my new day he always does make
A cup of coffee he has set there for me
He said this is the way it would always be

He is such a wonderful responsible guy
I will love him way past the day I die
My husband he works so very hard
A wonder his brain has not been charred

He comes home midday for his lunch
Big hugs he gives me mean so much
He again arrives just in time for dinner
His ways show me I cooked a winner

Then it is off for his daily bicycle ride
Keeping that body from getting wide
Home again we take off to go fishing
Hope to catch some we are wishing

Sometimes we act so much like clowns
Together we share our ups and downs
Our children say we are in a second childhood
We think it would be wonderful if we only could

I am so happy this wonderful man is mine
He knows this as I tell him so all the time
He continues to tell me he loves me
And that's the way it will always be
