Love of love, of books

I loved, but failed
to win my love,
A book loved helped me
rise a bit above.

And ever since I wondered
what difference there be
Between loving my love
and a book if any.

Books illuminate
and we read in their light,
Love may decimate
you, push you in utter plight.

Some books can be put aside
‘pon turning a few pages,
Dreamy love may not abide
but love of books long rages.

A book is like a fond dream
held close in embrace
So be the love of love
that no difference does trace.

A house without good books
be like body without soul,
So be life without love,
and no difference at all.

Readers may well travel
without troubling their feet,
Love too can transport
to the world in spirit.

One might get lost in book,
may find the Self therein,
People have in love got lost
never to find self within.

One lives, and dies in a book
a thousand times,
Its seldom so in love,
Once lost, life’s left with no rhymes.

A journey of lifetime starts
With just a turn of book’s page,
It may end once love is found
at any stage, any age.
