Love Not Given But Received

He said he’d leave, so I’d grieve give into his heave
and hoeing for him, like fat to trim; work till dim
the nights. I- so bleak are these weak cries I seek
his gaze. eyes on me- lies -what a drug to deny.
When days less dark his barks seem more a purr; these marks
more a beauty than evidence misdeed: Hurts hardly!
Grecian Soldier eating grapes and spilling wine.
Wither away, one foul say; then wish not be gay
if I’d then easy slide out this ravine to high tide.
Oh to crave pain, or love gained, all same while he reigns.
