Love Lost Gains

Love Lost Gains Love fading, bestows a warranted fear, Vanity shades it from our notice. Emotions obscured shall become barred from the shadows, Pain eclipsed by ego, remains naked to the soul, The passion of love, the familiar touch, two as one become hollow, These feelings still breathing within us in time will be undone. Moments are borrowed, to become whispers of memories we polish, To be distorted and tainted with tears, What is lost cannot be measured in years, Redemption the wish, we are powerless to find. Leaving a residue of the unrequited. The truth is exposed with difficult acceptance. What has departed is no longer near nor dear. That which is built upon hearts can be sadly filtered away. That which is built within hearts is precious and there to stay. Hearts unchanged? No, Its times mending way, Hearts unbroken? Yes.. Its times nurturing way More enduring hearts are we now, Not because we abandon what once surrounded hearts, But from the days we shared what was within hearts. Empty must we become, so that we may be filled once over again, In the corners of the heart, Sunshine with Rain, Oxymoronic? Is Love not the same? Love another? No, never in the same, Love another? Yes, there is wisdom and beauty with no blame. Within forgiveness love lost, gains.
