Love is a kaleidoscope
of color bursts and twirls.
Painted with everlasting hope
the tapestry unfurls.
Love is sometimes fraught with pain
when timing is all wrong.
Denied of joy, nothing to gain
the night's bitter and long.
Love is magic when it's new
and comfortable when it's old.
New love is fresh as morning dew
yet older love's good as gold.
Love is really all that matters
when our time's done on earth.
So don't leave any hearts in tatters.
