Love Is Like Freedom, It Takes Sacrifice

There is only so much pain a heart can stand,
Before all of its feelings turn sour or turn bland.

A little respect goes a long long ways,
And a little kindness can soothe in so many ways.

A little thank you or I appreciate that can show you care,
Especially if you feel you’ve been taken for granted by that someone special who’s hardly
ever there.

A simple call of the phone, just calling to say I love you can brighten their day,
If you love someone, take a moment that’s all I’m trying to say.

This advice goes both ways, be you boy or girl,
Think about your own feelings then give it a whirl.

Love is a two way street with no dividing lines,
And age can make your love seem like the finest bottle of wines.

If there are any sparks left maybe you can restoke the fire,
With compassion and love you’ll have your hearts desire.

Good luck to you and your quest,
Remember it takes a lot of work to make love its best.
