Love Is
Love, when seen through the eyes of a child…the way innocence perceives…
is a lot more simple and less complicated…then many adults believe.
When children are asked, what love is, they never mention fortune or fame…
to them it’s as simple as the way it makes them feel
when someone who love them…says their name.
It’s the feeling one gets in the middle of a hug…from a family member or friend…
a hug so tight…so safe…so secure…they never want it to end.
It’s when they see a person they love…how warm inside they feel….
It’s the moment in their life they realize…fairy tales are real.
It’s being accepted for who they are…despite any handicap….
It’s what they hear and feel in the quiet of a room
after all the Christmas presents are unwrapped.
Its when their puppy licks licks their face after not seeing them all day.
It’s knowing they’ll never be alone…even when they’re far away…
It’s knowing the words ‘I Love You’ should never be said unless we mean it…
This goes for every child, every woman…every man…
and knowing when we mean it…we should say it as often as we can.
Yes, through the eyes of a child love is never as complicated as it seems….
For they know love is as simple…as thinking…they’re in the middle of a dream.
