Love Poem: Love In the Rain

Love In the Rain

Love was deep as the eyes
We heard the pulse that sighs
And kissed with hearts that yearn
From flames in veins that burn

To hold this love so tight
Neath' stars that glowed soft bright
As clouds of rain moved slow
We felt its warm winds blow

Lids of our eyes did close
With breath from scent of rose
That laid soft in your hand
Then dropped free to the land

Time's hours of glass did tell
When grain by grain they fell
Till' dawn took day from night
And sun rose far too height

The black of night turned gray
Was torched to ash from day
To love through night love's gain
We sealed our love in rain
