Love In a Nutshell

I use time when
discussing love
because it
encompasses
everything-
from feeling to
memory, mind
& soul, the move
you make right
before making it,
check and the
unchecking of
checkmate,
With each tick of time,
I find myself undoing
and redoing
the day we first met,
It's as if I am retying my shoe
for a race I've already won.
Love and time are interchangeable
The scent of spring,
An autumn's hue
It enriches all that we
hope to do.
It allows one
to view another
like no other;
I've been
 reprimanded
 for placing a person
on a God-like level
but what does it hurt
to dream?
To expose
the confines of the
One who made me;
Loving you
 has remade me,
Every second has been
an evolutionary event,
and, that's time as it pertains
to love in a nutshell.
