Love Poem: Love For Me

Love For Me

Love lies in death
A time, a moment, a lapse
When I shall be so overwhelmed
By its urges
Pushing upon me
Suffocating me
Pulling me
Into its web,
A web so mysterious
That no power in Existence
Shall ever be able to save me from!

Love lies in death,
Then when I shall be satiated
My pains soothed
My curiosity appeased
My yearnings dispersed
Into the tiny particles of dust
Which make up matter in the vast cosmos!

Love lies in death,
As while I lived,
I remained thirsting
As would the lost be in a desert!

Pray, I chose to run from the heavens
Probably because love hurt there as well
Exiled on an Earth which belongs not to me
I thought I would be here,
Happy in my misery!

But the harshness of love requires
That my soul ceases to be
Only in such shall I ever find my amorous bliss!

Why, love lies in death
The wheels of fate do turn
I pray for a favorable strike of luck!
