Love Poem: Love Debt

Love Debt

Why is it so hard to make it, but yet so easy to break it
Yearn to be covered with love so don't leave me naked
We spend so much time trying to forgive and forget
When we really need to love now and dont let pain become a debt
If the pain exceeds the happiness then why do we suffer
Need to restrain the hate and let our love be a buffer
Keep it behind a gate and forget where we left the key
Instead of trying to perfect an inevitable imperfection just let it be
I could write a book on flaws and stack them up on a shelf
Life is hard enough so why we make it harder on our self
Lift each other up when the other can no longer stand
Just as much as you do I want to put that diamond on ya hand
As I recite my vows on that soft, white sand
My team is happiness and I want you to be my #1 fan
Our boat's been sinking but we so close to dry land
When we finally arrive let's rejoice and promise to do better
We've paid our dues in this love game and now pain is our debtor
