Love Can'T Be Granted
Love enters your heart
like a burning coal;
fueling feelings
that consume your soul.
Bringing happiness
to where there was none;
love eclipses time,
and outshines the sun.
Igniting tinder
smoldering within;
love solicits smiles
and lets dreams begin.
Setting imprisoned
fledgling feelings free;
love instantly fills
hopeful hearts with glee.
Love can't be granted,
bought or created;
and yet, it leaves you
feeling elated.
