Love Affair
Lonely hand and mind - have always seemed to pair
with ditty phrase or elaborate vivid hue.
On keyboard, paper, or canvas wall I share
to continue what a filled heart wants to view.
All of my life I have had this love affair
that has lifted spirits when feeling blue.
No greater a gift with famed expectation
giving an empty soul gratification.
Ink that imprints a life with so much zeal
secures a weakened breast with affection.
Embodies a lame light within to feel
the lone beauty of inner perfection.
A finished product breathtaking and real
only adds to life’s ultimate collection.
Allow my love affair to endure evermore
satisfying me dearer than before.
