Love, Left, Waiting, Maybe

Our eyes met and she told me when we’re apart it hurts
I delivered a kiss of assurance to take away the fear
Saying I love you touching her heart, whispering I’m always in here
It’s ok. We might be parting different directions but love will find its way
Confidence in my words but I knew this would be the last day
Last day to lay with her on these carpeted floors in front of the fire place
Last day to kiss, please, taste and see her body and face
Abandoned I watched an angel take her leave
Abandoned I awaited to receive
An email
A letter
A call
I awaited to receive nothing at all
was it a lie when she told me “the words of save me”
…. Love will find its way…..maybe
But to hell with waiting I’m moving on
