Love, Hate, & the Heart
Within each heart,
Is lodging to accommodate Love or Hate.
Love's lease was paid at the cross,
While Hate, lives on credit,
Leaving a damning balloon payment at life's end.
Love sees no size, nor distinguishes color.
While Hate causes choice, one o'er the other.
We Love because of who we are,
And Hate because of what we allow ourselves to become.
If a heart desires Love as a tenant,
Hate must not be allowed past the desk.
For true Love will not lodge in a heart,
Where Hate is the lead tenant.
