Love Poem: Lost Love

Lost Love

How silent tomorrow is when love dies
And wishes and dreams fly further away
When reason sits in pain until it cries
Nothing left but memories that will stay
When lovers merge in passionate consent
And speak with wondrous words they impart
Never needing to explain what they meant
With agreement always to never part
Now is replayed in minds of confusion
As passion has died a thrust through the heart
Leaves a cold death, a tomb of seclusion
When the love that was is now torn apart

A lover's flame burns before their farewell
Their ashes turn cold, time's wind will expel
