Love Poem: Long Winters Night

Written by: Terry Ireland

Long Winters Night

snuff out the candle please dear
and grace me with the sight
of your wondrous naked body
bathed with pure moon’s light
pose for me my darling
interesting shadows appear
change and move and alter
as you ever draw more near
now let me clasp you to me
to save you from night’s cold
pull you beneath these covers
for me to cherish and to hold
in form of two backed beast
you and me and we are taking
what the whole has to give
so tenderly caringly making
our precious act of love
i gaze at you beneath me
see your passions rise
then i am lost for ever
down deep in your eyes
climbing up to our crescendo
under these covers out of sight
then I’ll cuddle you my darling
through this long winter’s night
